About the Network

The Dual Career Netzwerk Mitteldeutschland (DCNM)

The DCNM is a network of 37 universities, research institutions, municipalities, and companies across Central Germany. Together, our members aim to attract outstanding researchers and professionals who are relocating to the region with their partners.
We support international dual career couples in finding suitable professional opportunities for the accompanying partner. Through personalized guidance and professional support, we help ease the transition into a new job market while promoting a healthy balance between career, partnership, and family life.
Since 2024, the DCNM has been part of the Leipzig Science Network (LSN), the alliance of Leipzig’s scientific institutions.

Members of the DCNM

In addition to universities and research institutions, the network also includes public administrations, associations, and companies. This diversity — and the close connection between science and industry — creates a wide range of career opportunities for dual career couples.
The DCNM also benefits from the expertise and active exchange among its members. The network is part of the Dual Career Netzwerk Deutschland (DCND) and aligns its work with the quality standards of the DCND.
